Abstract:
The present invention relates to an ice chest, and more particularly, to an ice chest in which volume varying means is arranged to selectively vary the storage space of the ice chest for storing a variety of foodstuffs, and which simultaneously accommodates a variety of household goods and has a moving tool, to thereby achieve convenience in transportation and use. The ice chest of the present invention comprises an ice chest body which has bottom and side walls filled with heat insulating materials inside, and which has a food storage unit with an open side; a cover which selectively opens/closes the open side of the ice chest body, and which has an accommodation portion; and a volume-varying unit interposed between the ice chest body and the cover and slidably coupled to the food storage unit to vary the volume of the food storage unit. According to the present invention, the volume of the food storage unit of the ice chest selectively varies to allow for various utilization of the space of the food storage unit. The ice chest of the present invention can accommodate foodstuffs and household goods, and achieves convenience in a long-distance movement of the ice chest.
