Abstract:
An ice-making apparatus and an ice detection method. The ice-making apparatus comprises: an ice-making tray (100); an ice storage box (200) used for storing ices discharged from the ice-making tray (100); a detection module (300) provided above the ice storage box (200) and used for measuring the real-time distance between the detection module (300) and the ice surface in the ice storage box (200); and a controller electrically connected to the detection module (300), wherein when the real-time distance measured by the detection module (300) is less than a preset distance, the controller determines that the ice storage box (200) is full of ices. The ice detection method comprises: measuring, by means of the detection module (300) provided above the ice storage box (200), the real-time distance between the detection module (300) and the ice surface in the ice storage box (200); comparing the real-time distance with a preset distance; and if the real-time distance is less than the preset distance, determining that the ice storage box (200) is full of ices.
