Abstract:

An ice maker for a refrigeration appliance, comprising: an ice making assembly, the ice making assembly defining a receiving chamber and being communicated with an air duct fluid; and a mold assembly, the mold assembly being removably mounted to the ice making assembly. The mold assembly comprises: a frame, the frame being received in the receiving chamber of the ice making assembly; a heat exchanger, the heat exchanger being mounted to the frame and defining a mold support surface; and a flexible mold, the flexible mold being arranged on the mold support surface and supported by the heat exchanger, so that the flexible mold and the heat exchanger are connected in a thermally conductive manner and define a mold cavity configured to receive a liquid. The mold assembly can be replaced with an alternative mold assembly.
