Abstract:
Provided is an identification medium which enables determination of authenticity in visual observation and is excellent in cost, reliability, and durability.
An identification medium is characterized by comprising: a cholesteric liquid crystal layer (103) which has a property of selectively reflecting circularly polarized light of a first wavelength in a visible light band, and has been subjected to hologram processing (104); and a code-printed layer (102) in which code information formed by ink that absorbs or reflects infrared light of a wavelength different from the first wavelength is printed, the identification medium being characterized in that when viewed from the observation side, a region subjected to the hologram processing (104) and a region (102a) where the ink is printed of the code-printed layer (102) are located at positions at least partially overlapping each other.
