Abstract:
[Problem] To provide a brushless DC motor identification method by which information about a brushless DC motor can be identified while handshakes are not especially needs to be performed. [Solution] The identification method according to the present disclosure comprises: supplying a motor power source voltage Vmot from an identification device 100 to a brushless DC motor 200 through a power source line; rotating the brushless DC motor according to a PWM signal outputted from a drive circuit 220 of the brushless DC motor 200 upon receiving supply of the power source voltage; superimposing, on a power source electric current flowing through the power source line, an identification signal having a frequency the same as that of a PWM signal in accordance with rotation of the brushless DC motor; obtaining the power source electric current flowing through the power source line, and detecting the frequency of the identification signal superimposed on the power source electric current; and identifying information about the brushless DC motor on the basis of the detected frequency of the identification signal.
