Abstract:
The present invention provides assistance for achieving more efficient management of identifiers of workpieces produced in processes such as welding. This identifier management method is executed by a welding system and involves: acquiring information of respective identifiers (A, B) of a plurality of original workpieces (W1, W2); selecting, according to a given rule, which of the identifiers of the original workpieces is to be employed, when the welding system completes the execution of a welding process using the plurality of original workpieces; and setting the identifier (A) of the selected one of the original workpieces as an identifier of the welded workpiece (W3) produced in the welding process.
