Abstract:
The invention relates to a method for securing an identity document (1) comprising an identity photograph (3) and alphanumeric entries (4) related to the identity document holder, said method including the steps of: collecting alphanumeric information from among the alphanumeric entries (4) that are intended to appear on the identity document; encoding the alphanumeric information collected by the properties of patterns that are intended to appear in predetermined areas of the identity photograph (3), the patterns being capable of revealing a possible corruption of the identity photograph; and producing the identity document such that it comprises said alphanumeric entries (4) and such that it comprises the identity photograph (3) whereon lines (6) visibly appear, the intersections of which represent said properties in said predetermined areas.
