Abstract:

This idle stop control device, which automatically stops an engine when a first condition is met, and thereafter if a second condition is met, restarts the engine using a starter to which electricity is supplied via a brush, is provided with: starting brush wear calculation unit that calculates the amount of brush wear when starting once; an overall brush wear calculation unit that calculates the amount of overall brush wear by integrating the amount of brush wear when starting once; and an engine automatic-stop prohibiting unit that prohibits the automatic stopping of the engine when the amount of overall brush wear becomes at least a drive-guaranteeing wear amount of the starter.
