Abstract:
It is found that Spi-B can act cooperatively with IRF-7 to induce the production of IFN type-I. Based on this finding, it becomes possible to provide: an IFN type-I production inhibitor comprising an antisense nucleic acid or siRNA for Spi-B or an expression vector capable of expressing the antisense nucleic acid or the siRNA; a method for searching for a substance capable of inhibiting the production of IFN type-I, which comprises selecting a substance that inhibits the expression or function of Spi-B as the substance capable of inhibiting the production of IFN type-I; an IFN type-I production inducer comprising a combination of an expression vector capable of expressing Spi-B and an expression vector capable of expressing IRF-7; and others.
