Abstract:
An igniter assembly is provided with an igniter, a collar, and a holding part. The igniter includes: a cup body having a cylindrical peripheral wall and a lid wall that closes one end of the peripheral wall; and a closing part that, together the cup body, defines a housing space for a combustion agent. The peripheral wall is divided, with respect to an axial direction of the peripheral wall, into a contacting region that contacts the closing part and a non-contacting region that does not contact the closing part. The holding part is provided with a base section that covers a periphery of the contacting region and a surrounding wall that is formed to be contiguous with the base section and surrounds the non-contacting region. A weakened section is formed between a first portion and a second portion of the holding part, the first portion including at least a portion of the base section and the second portion being disposed further toward a discharge direction than the first portion and including a tip end of the surrounding wall. The weakened section is formed such that the second portion deforms in a radially outward direction more readily than the first portion when the igniter operates and causes a load to act on the surrounding wall.
