Title:
IGNITER FOR INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINES
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2014/016971
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide an igniter for internal combustion engines, in which a superposed discharge time is set in accordance with the operating condition of an internal combustion engine and a superposed discharge is performed by a spark plug, such that combustion efficiency is improved. A superposed time controller (40) blocks a first current of an ignition coil (30) by controlling the action of a switch transistor (33) at the timing indicated by an energization signal of an ignition signal input from an ECU (70), generates a discharge spark by supplying generated discharge voltage to a spark plug (60), generates a high voltage by driving a booster circuit (10, 20) in response to a superposed discharge period signal of the ignition signal, and maintains the discharge spark by supplying the high voltage to the spark plug (60) until the period indicated by the superposed discharge period signal ends.
