Abstract:
The present invention relates to an ignition coil comprising an I core (6) arranged in a coil former (2), wherein the coil former has at least one first axial opening (31), and a casting compound (5) surrounding the coil former, an outer core (7) with a main area (70), a first limb (71) and a second limb (72), wherein the first limb (71) covers the first axial opening (31) in the coil former, and wherein the first and second limbs (71, 72) apply a prestressing force (F1, F2) in the axial direction (X-X) to the coil former and ensure sealing at the first and second axial openings (31, 32).
