Abstract:
Disclosed is an ignition device for a fuel combustion apparatus using overheated steam which supplies water to a steam generation pipe, heats the steam generation pipe to obtain a high temperature and pressure of steam, and sprays the steam together with liquefied fuel, to thereby simultaneously enable preheating and ignition and increase combustion efficiency, the ignition device comprising: a bottom support (110), a support wall (120) which is arranged at one side of the bottom support (110), a jet nozzle (170) arranged to be fixed at the support wall (120), a steam generation pipe (140) which is in a spirally wound form and disposed frontward from the jet nozzle (170), an insulating tube (130) enclosing the exterior of the steam generation pipe (140), and a gas spraying portion (150) formed at one side of the support wall (120), wherein the gas spraying portion (150) is arranged so that the flame passes around the front of the jet nozzle (170) to then extend to the steam generation pipe (140). The present invention provides the ignition device for the fuel combustion apparatus using overheated steam, which simultaneously enables the preheating and ignition in a single device with only gas fuel, by individually including no preheating and ignition devices and providing no electric power.

Claims

[1] An ignition device for a fuel combustion apparatus using overheated steam which supplies water to a steam generation pipe, heats the steam generation pipe to obtain a high temperature and pressure of steam, and sprays the steam together with liquefied fuel, to thereby simultaneously enable preheating and ignition and increase combustion efficiency, the ignition device comprising : a bottom support (110), a support wall (120) which is arranged at one side of the bottom support (110), a jet nozzle (170) arranged to be fixed at the support wall (120), a steam generation pipe (140) which is in a spirally wound form and disposed frontward from the jet nozzle (170), an insulating tube (130) enclosing the exterior of the steam generation pipe (140), and a gas spraying portion (150) formed at one side of the support wall (120), wherein the gas spraying portion (150) is arranged so that the flame passes around the front of the jet nozzle (170) to extend to the steam generation pipe (140).

IGNITION DEVICE FOR FUEL COMBUSTION APPARATUS

USING STEAM

Technical Field

[1] The present invention relates to an ignition device for a fuel combustion apparatus using steam, and more particularly to an ignition device for a fuel combustion apparatus using steam which generates overheated steam and sprays both fuel and the overheated steam for combustion, thereby providing complete combustion and supplementing fire power. Background Art

[2] A conventional fuel combustion apparatus has just a constitution that sprays the fuel supplied from a fuel reservoir with a nozzle to be ignited in the interior of a combustion chamber, and then obtains a heat source. Since the conventional fuel combustion apparatus performs direct combustion with only the fuel, it has drawbacks of raising a higher price as well as weak fire power. Also, low-priced liquefied fuel such as bunker C oil may cause the evil of air pollution due to incomplete combustion during burning. Due to recent higher oil prices, there has been actively made studies that the low-priced liquefied fuel is sprayed together with the high temperature and pressure of steam obtained by heating water for ignition, to thereby increase the complete combustion of the fuel and supplement the fire power.

[3] That is, in order to completely ignite the low-priced liquefied fuel, such as bunker C oil, and supplement the fire power, the apparatus feeds water to a steam generation pipe which is a spirally wound metallic pipe, heats the steam generation pipe to obtain the high temperature and pressure of the steam, and then emits the steam with the liquefied fuel, to thereby provide the effect of increasing combustion efficiency through pulverization and activation of the fuel. But, the combustion apparatus having the above constitution has a drawback to include a preheating device and an ignition device individually.

[4] Since the fuel combustion apparatus using the overheated steam sprays the fuel by the pressure of the steam without any power, it should be made to heat the steam generation pipe and fill in a water reservoir the pressure as sufficient as the steam can be emitted, in order to generate the steam. Also, since the fuel that is emitted with the pressurized steam is fed at the high temperature and pressure of the ignition point, it is not easy to start the ignition with no more than electric spark. Also, the fire may die out in the course of controlling the spray pressure of the steam and an exhaust amount of the fuel.

[5] Therefore, it takes a considerable time for preheating and ignition. Separate constitution of the preheating device and the ignition device makes the apparatus complicated. If the preheating and ignition is made by electric power, there is a drawback to require the power supply additionally.

[6] Also, in the case that the preheating is made by gas and the ignition is made by electric power, there is a defect to need gas fuel and power supply together. Disclosure of Invention Technical Problem

[7] Therefore, in order to supplement the shortcoming of the conventional art, the present invention provides an ignition device for a fuel combustion apparatus using overheated steam, which simultaneously enables the preheating and ignition in a single device with only gas fuel, by individually including no preheating and ignition devices and providing no electric power. [8] To solve the above problems, it is an object of the present invention to provide an ignition device for a fuel combustion apparatus using overheated steam, which simultaneously enables the preheating and ignition in a single device with only gas fuel, by individually including no preheating and ignition devices and providing no electric power.

[9] As described above, the present invention provides an ignition device for a fuel combustion apparatus using overheated steam, which simultaneously enables the preheating and ignition in a single device with only gas fuel, by individually including no preheating and ignition devices and providing no electric power.

[17] An ignition device 100 having a preheating function according to the present invention comprises a bottom support 110, a support wall 120 which is arranged at one side of the bottom support 110, a jet nozzle 170 arranged to be fixed at the support wall 120, a steam generation pipe 140 which is in a spirally wound form and disposed frontward from the jet nozzle 170, and an insulating tube 130 enclosing the exterior of the steam generation pipe 140. [18] Hereinbelow, the constitution of the present invention will be described in more detailed with reference to the accompanying drawings.

[19] FIG. 1 shows the constitution of an ignition device according to the present invention. An ignition device 100 having a preheating function according to the present invention comprises a bottom support 110, a support wall 120 which is arranged at one side of the bottom support 110, a jet nozzle 170 arranged to be fixed at the support wall 120, a steam generation pipe 140 which is in a spirally wound form and disposed frontward from the jet nozzle 170, and an insulating tube 130 enclosing the exterior of the steam generation pipe 140.

[20] A gas spraying portion 150 is formed at one side of the support wall 120. It is preferable that the gas spraying portion 150 is slantly arranged so that a flame passes around the front of the jet nozzle 170 to heat the steam generation pipe 140, considering the injection direction of the flame for preheating and ignition.

[21] That is, assuming that an imaginary straight line is drawn forward from the gas spraying portion 150, the flame passes around the front of the jet nozzle 170 and indicates the steam generation pipe 140. If the imaginary straight line is denoted as the flame, it will be as shown in FIG. 3.

[22] The gas spraying portion 150 which is placed at the end of a gas supply pipe 151, is supplied with the gas through the gas supply pipe 151 from a gas reservoir A. The gas supply pipe 151 is welded or screwed to the support wall 120 with a fixing member 152, so that the gas spraying portion 150 can spray the flame in a constant direction.

[23] Also, it is preferable that the support wall 120 is designed to include a water supply pipe 145 which supplies the water of a water reservoir B to the steam generation pipe 140, a steam discharging pipe 141 and a steam supply pipe 143 which supply the steam generated from the steam generation pipe 140 to the water reservoir B and the jet nozzle 170, and a fuel supply pipe 144 which supplies the fuel from the fuel reservoir

C to the jet nozzle 170. [24] The above constitution is necessary to protect these pipes from a high temperature of the flame and to place the pipes in adequate locations. [25] FIG. 3 is a view showing the state of preheating the steam generation pipe 140 by the gas spraying portion 150, to obtain a highly pressurized and heated steam. At this time, the ignition is made by the gas fed from the gas reservoir A, which can be made by a known portable ignitor. [26] When some steam pressure is filled in the water reservoir B, both the steam and the fuel are sprayed at the same time by opening a valve. At this time, since the gas spraying portion 150 has already spouted out the flame for preheating, the ignition is performed by the flame that is spouted from the gas spraying portion 150, with no separate ignition device, the state of which is shown in FIG. 4. [27] If the steam and the fuel stably burn well, the flame of the gas spraying portion 150 stops by closing the valve of the gas reservoir A, the state of which is shown in FIG. 5. [28] The constitution of a fuel combustion device 1 using overheated steam in which the ignition device 100 of the present invention is provided is shown in FIG. 6, and it allows the preheating, ignition, combustion, etc to be adjusted by an automatic control valve or control means therefor.
