Abstract:
The disclosed ignition device ignites an air-fuel mixture containing an oxidizer and fuel, and is provided with: a heat-generating body (1) that protrudes downwards from a mounting section (100) and that has at the tip a heat-generating region (1a) that heats to a temperature that is at least the ignition temperature of the abovementioned air-fuel mixture (Y); a fuel retention section (2) that encircles the abovementioned heat-generating region (1a) and that has a through-hole (2a) that opens at the top and within which the abovementioned heat generating region (1a) is disposed; and an enclosure wall (3) that forms a space (R) connecting to the top of the abovementioned through-hole (2a), and that has flame-emission apertures (3a) that open from this space (R) to the outside. With this ignition device, it is possible to increase the ignition properties of the ignition device.
