Abstract:

An ignition timing control device for an internal combustion engine having a slidable throttle valve type carburetor (1), comprising a control means (51) and an opening detector (20) formed in a simple structure at a low cost for detecting the opening of a slidable throttle valve (6), the control means (51) wherein an ignition timing is controlled by ignition timing characteristics formed of a first characteristic A and a second characteristic B pre−set according to the opening of the slidable throttle valve (6), and the ignition timing is controlled by the first characteristic A or the second characteristic B according to the presence or absence of the signals&semi the opening detector (20) comprising a micro switch (40), wherein signals are generated on one side of a specified opening N1 within an opening range between the full close of the sliding throttle valve (6) and the full open thereof, whereby the specified performance of the internal combustion engine can be assured at a low cost.
