Abstract:
An ignitor for internal combustion engines provided with a center core, a primary coil, a secondary coil, and a case for housing the center core, primary coil, and secondary coil. In the case, the center core, primary coil and secondary coil are arranged in this order from the inside. A member having a relative dielectric constant which is nearly equal to that of the member constituting a bobbin wound with the secondary coil is so provided to occupy the space defined between the inside of the bobbin and the center core. Therefore, the concentration of electric field in the space is relaxed and the insulation between the center core and the primary coil is secured.
