Abstract:
A cup holder assembly (20) includes a cup holder body (24) having a peripheral wall (26) extending at least partially about a central opening (28) of a receptacle (30). The cup holder assembly (20) also includes a light transmissive element (32) disposed within the central opening (28) and forming a base of the receptacle (30). The light transmissive element (32) is configured to receive light from a light source (36) positioned proximate to a central portion (38) of the light transmissive element (32), and to illuminate a surface (40) of the light transmissive element (32) proximate to the peripheral wall (26).
