Abstract:
An illuminating apparatus (12) of the present invention is provided with: a light source (16); a light guide plate (19) that has a first end surface (19c), which faces the light source (16) and has light inputted thereto, said light having been emitted from the light source (16), a second end surface (19d), which is disposed parallel to the first end surface (19c), and a light output surface (19a), which has the light outputted therefrom, said light having been inputted thereto from the first end surface (19c); a housing member (14) that has a bottom (14a), which faces the plate surface (19b) of the light guide plate (19), a first wall (14c), which faces the first end surface (19c) and rises from the bottom (14a), and a second wall (14d), which faces the second end surface (19d) and rises from the bottom (14a); a light source substrate (17), which has the light source (16) mounted thereon, and is disposed between the first end surface (19c) and the first wall (14c) such that the light source (16) faces the first end surface (19c); an interposing portion (18), which is provided between the light source substrate (17) and the first end surface (19c); and an elastic member (22), which is applied between the second wall (14d) and the second end surface (19d).
