Abstract:
Disclosed is a flat discharge tube (19) of an illuminating device, which comprises a transparent electrode (15) formed on a glass plate (12) on the illuminating surface side. A shielding plate (34) is arranged between a mounting surface (31) and an electrode (14). The mounting surface is at the ground potential, and the transparent electrode and the shielding plate are electrically connected to a ground terminal (28E) of a drive circuit (28). The discharge tube is electromagnetically shielded by the shielding plate and the transparent electrode held at the ground potential.
