Abstract:
Provided is an illuminating device wherein a plurality of light source units (U), each of which has at least an LED (16) and a light guide plate (18), are arranged in one direction, and a space (S) is formed between the adjacent light guide plates (18). The light guide plate (18) receives light from the LED (16) and outputs light (L1) from a first light outputting surface (36A), and a diffusion plate (15b), which receives the light (L1) outputted from the first light outputting surface (36A) is arranged at a position facing the first light outputting surface (36A). A reflection sheet (24) which reflects light is arranged on the opposite side to the diffusion plate (15b) in the space (S), and on an end section, which is of the light guide plate (18), is facing the space (S), and on the opposite side to the diffusion plate (15b), a second light outputting surface (36B) which outputs light (L2) to the diffusion plate (15b) through the space (S) after having light reflected by the reflection sheet (24) is formed.
