Abstract:
An illuminating device (20) is provided with: a plurality of light sources (21), which are disposed in parallel in one direction; and a light guide plate (30), which has, on a side end surface, a light input surface (30a) facing the light sources (21), guides light inputted from the light input surface (30a), and outputs illuminating light from the light output surface (30b) disposed on the front surface. The light guide plate (30) has a plurality of prisms (32), which respectively extend in the optical axis direction (Y) of the light sources (21), are disposed in parallel in the longitudinal direction (X) of the light input surface (20a), and diffuse the guided light in the longitudinal direction (X). Each of the prisms (32) has, at least at a top portion (32a), a curved surface portion (32c) having a curved cross-sectional shape, and a curvature radius of a bottom portion (32b) rising from the surface of the light guide plate (30) is larger than a curvature radius of the top portion (32a).
