Abstract:
Provided is an illuminating device which is composed of a plurality of light guide bodies and has improved luminance uniformity on a light emitting surface. A backlight (illuminating device) (20) is provided with a plurality of combined bodies each of which is composed of a light source and a light guide body (7) which surface-emits light emitted from the light source. A reflection sheet (reflecting member) (6) is arranged at a position facing the light guide body (7) surface on the opposite side to the light emitting surface (7a) so as to separately cover the surface on the opposite side, and the adjacent reflection sheets (6) overlap in the normal line direction of the light emitting surface (7a) in a space (1) formed at a section where the adjacent two light guide bodies (7, 17) are arranged in sequence not overlapping each other.
