Abstract:
An illuminating device which is compatible with a high frequency component due
to evanescent wave in a negative refractive lens and has a high spatial resolution.
The illuminating device is characterized by comprising a light emitting element
thin film (106) containing a light emitting material for emitting light on application
of energy, a cathode (101) for applying an electron beam (102) or energy to the
light emitting element thin film (106), and an optical system including a negative
refractive lens (110) consisting of a negative refraction-indicating material
to project light emitted from the thin film (106) onto an object.
