Abstract:
An illumination apparatus (2) comprises a transparent glass plate (3), an ornament
(7) where an angled groove (7A) having an angled surface (8) for diffusely reflecting
light is carved on the surface of the glass plate (3), and a projector (10) provided
around the glass plate (3) for projecting the light of a desired color onto the
angled surface (8) of the angled groove (7A). The projector (10) has alternately
lined light emitting diodes (11) for projecting the lights of different colors
(red: R, green: G, yellow: Y) with their emission direction oriented perpendicularly
to the side face of the glass plate (3). The light from the projector (10) is diffusely
reflected when it hits on the angled surface (8) to cause the ornament (7) to glow
in a luminous color.
