Abstract:

Provided are a method and a system for controlling the illumination for an optimal depth recognition of a stereo camera. An illumination control method according to an embodiment of the present invention generates depth maps in different illumination environments and selects one of the illumination environments. Thus, the illumination environment is selected by comparing the depth maps generated while automatically changing the illumination environment, rather than by human ability and experience, so that an accurate illumination environment can be setup quickly.
