Abstract:
Provided is an illumination device for an automatic vending machine whereby it is possible to effectively prevent the generation of a shadow by an externally protruding object without providing on the optically transparent surface of the unit main body an externally protruding object for the purpose of connecting the wiring for common illumination units. While the shared wires (14a) of the illumination unit (10) are joined by connector (14), the mutually joined connectors (14) are inserted into a socket (11d) which is provided on the lower surface of the illumination unit main body (11); further, the connector (14) is provided so as not to protrude externally from the lower surface of the illumination unit main body by housing the connector (14) in a housing unit (11e) inside the illumination unit main body (11), thereby, the generation of a shadow from the connector (14) by the light radiated from a first LED (12) is suppressed. Hereby there is no worsening of the visual quality in a product sample chamber (3) by the presence of a shadow from the connector (14) and the display effectiveness of a product sample (4) is improved.
