Abstract:
Disclosed is an illumination device comprising a light guide unit wherein an optical path for propagating light is annularly formed such that light propagating within the optical path is emitted from the front surface; a local reflection unit provided on the rear surface of the light guide unit such that light is emitted from only one portion of the front surface of the light guide unit; and a light source which moves between the light guide unit and the local reflection unit. When the light source is positioned on the light guide unit side, the light output from the light source propagates within the optical path of the light guide unit and is annularly emitted from the front surface. When the light source is positioned on the local reflection unit side, the light output from the light source is reflected by the local reflection unit and is concentrated and emitted from only one portion of the front surface of the light guide unit.
