Abstract:
A dimming control circuit (150) outputs a pulse width modulation (PWM) signal. A current control circuit (160) outputs a direct current with a magnitude corresponding to the PWM signal from the dimming control circuit (150). A light source (222) illuminates at a brightness corresponding to the magnitude of the direct current from the current control circuit (160). The dimming control circuit (150) is able to change the pulse width of the PWM signal between a first duty ratio and a second duty ratio smaller than the first duty ratio at a first frequency, and is able to change the frequency of the PWM signal between the first frequency and a second frequency lower than the first frequency while maintaining the pulse width at the second duty ratio.
