Abstract:
A backlight device (12) is provided with: an LED (17); a chassis (14) having a bottom plate part (14a) on the opposite side from the light-emitting surface (17a) side of the LED (17), the chassis housing the LED (17); an LED substrate (18) arranged along the bottom plate part (14a), the LED (17) being mounted on the LED substrate (18); and a reflective sheet (20) for reflecting the light from the LED (17). The reflective sheet (20) has at least a bottom-side reflective part (20a) overlapping the light-emitting surface (17a) side of the LED substrate (18), and a rising reflecting part (20b) that rises from the bottom-side reflective part (20a) toward the light-emitting side. The rising base-end side portion (23) of the rising reflecting part (20b) forms a larger angle in relation to the bottom-side reflective part (20a) than the rising tip-end side portion (24) of the rising reflecting part (20a).
