Abstract:
A backlight device (illumination device) (12) according to the present invention comprises: an LED (light source) (17); a chassis (14) which houses the LED (17), further comprising a light emitting unit (14c) which is capable of emitting light from the LED (17); a sheet-shaped optical member (15) which is positioned in a form which covers the light emitting unit (14c); and a movable pressing unit (24) which, while pressing the optical member (15), is capable of moving in line with the optical member (15) being displaced in a direction along a primary surface thereof. The movable pressing unit (24) is rotatably axially supported with respect to a frame (pressing member) (16).
