Abstract:
The disclosed illumination device is provided with multiple discharge tubes (17) that are disposed in parallel, and a power source (170) for supplying driving power for parallel driving of said multiple discharge tubes (17). The driving power, which is anti-phase with respect to one end of said discharge tube (17) and to the other end, is supplied to each of said discharge tubes (17) and capacitors (56), that are interposed between said power source (170) and each of said discharge tubes (17) and make the amount of current of said driving power that is supplied to each of said multiple discharge tubes (17) uniform, are connected only to one end in the same direction of each of said discharge tubes (17) that are disposed in parallel.
