Abstract:
A backlight device (12) is provided with: a chassis having a light emission section at the obverse side and having a bottom plate (22a) to which a locking hole (22a1) is provided and a side plate that rises up from the obverse side of the bottom plate (22a); an LED substrate (25) disposed on the bottom plate (22a) of the chassis; LEDs (24) disposed on the LED substrate (25) with the obverse side as the light emission side; a wiring pattern (35) electrically connected to the LEDs (24) and disposed on the LED substrate (25); a connector (33) that is locked to the locking hole (22a1) of the bottom plate (22a), holds the LED substrates (25), and a portion of which is electrically connected to the wiring pattern (35); and power source wiring (38) that is electrically connected to the connector (33) and supplies power to the LEDs (24) via the connector (33) and the wiring pattern (35).
