Abstract:
A backlight device (12) is provided with: LEDs (17); a light guide plate (19) having a light entrance face (19b), a light exit face (19a), and a reverse plate face (19c); a prism sheet (42) comprising a plurality of light-output-side unit prisms (42a) disposed along a second direction in an aligned form; a light exit face prism portion (43) comprising a plurality of light exit face unit prisms (43a) disposed along the second direction in an aligned form; a light output reflection portion (41) comprising a plurality of unit reflection parts (41a) disposed in an aligned form while leaving intervals along a first direction; a reverse plate face prism part (44) comprising a plurality of reverse face unit prisms (44a) disposed along the second direction in an aligned form; and arc-shaped portions (45) disposed into such a form as to be adjacent to the light exit face unit prisms (43a) in the second direction while extending along the first direction, and whereof the cross-sectional shape in the second direction adopts the shape of an arc.
