Abstract:
A backlight device 12 is provided with: an optical guide plate 14 which has a substantially circular outer shape, and which is segmented into a plurality of sectoral areas SA by segmenting lines SL passing through a center C of the circle, all of the segmenting lines SL intersecting one another at the center C; a plurality of LEDs 17 arranged such that multiple LEDs belong to each of the plurality of sectoral areas SA and such that, of the LEDs belonging to the sectoral areas SA that are adjacent to one another in the circumferential direction, the central position between the LEDs positioned at the ends in the circumferential direction coincides with one of the segmening lines SL; and a plurality of wiring portions 18c of which the number is equal to or greater than the number of LEDs 17 belonging to each of the sectoral areas SA, the wiring portions supplying electric power to the multiple LEDs 17 belonging to each of the plurality of sectoral areas SA.
