Abstract:
In the present invention, a backlight device (12) comprises: a plurality of LEDs (13) aligned into a row while being spaced from one another; a light-guide plate (15), including in at least a portion of the peripheral edge surfaces thereof a light entry edge surface (15a) extending along the alignment direction of the plurality of LEDs (13) and facing the light-emitting surfaces (13a) of the plurality of LEDs (13), and whereof one or the other among a pair of the plate surfaces serves as a light exit plate surface (15b) for outputting the light; and hood-type reflective members (22), each opening toward the light-guide plate (15) side and surrounding an inter-LED space (LS) sandwiched between adjacent LEDs (13), the hood-type reflective member (22) having at least a first reflective portion (23) in an opposing state with the light entry edge surface (15a), and a pair of second reflective portions (24) continuing from the first reflective portion (23) and sandwiching the inter-LED space (LS) from both sides in the plate thickness direction of the light-guide plate (15).
