An illumination device, provided with an electronic lamp shade (30) surrounding a light-emitting component (20). The electronic lamp shade (30) takes on different light-transmission states according to different voltage values applied within an operating voltage range, so that the illumination angle and the illumination brightness of the illumination device may be altered.
