Abstract:
The present invention provides an illumination device provided with: a housing portion including an opening for inserting an item to be housed and a bottom surface capable of supporting the item to be housed; a light source; and a light-guide plate that includes a light-emitting surface and that guides light from the light source and causes the light to be emitted from the light-emitting surface, characterized in that the light-guide plate is disposed between the opening of the housing portion and the bottom surface, with at least a part of the light-emitting surface of the light-guide plate forming an acute angle with the bottom surface so as to directly irradiate the bottom surface from an inclined direction.
