An illumination device, comprising a backplate (1), a frame (2) matched and fixed with the backplate (1), a light guide plate (3) provided in the frame (2), an LED lamp (41) provided at an outer side of a side edge of the light guide plate (3), a PCB board (42) perpendicular to the light guide plate (3) to mount the LED lamp (41), a diffuser plate (5) provided at one side of the light guide plate (3) away from the backplate (1), and a reflecting plate or a reflecting film (6) attached to one side of the light guide plate (3) facing the backplate (1); one surface of the light guide plate (3) facing the diffuser plate (5) is provided with a plurality of lattice points (31); a certain light mixing gap exists between the light guide plate (3) and the diffuser plate (5); light rays enter from the side edge of the light guide plate (3), and then are reflected to, by the reflecting plate (6), the surface of the light guide plate (3) facing the diffuser plate (5); and the light rays are diverged by the plurality of lattice points (31), and mixed in the light mixing gap between the diffuser plate (5) and the light guide plate (3), such that the diverged light rays become softer, thus improving the utilization rate thereof.
