Abstract:
An illumination device (1) capable of being immersed in a low-temperature liquefied gas, said device being provided with a base part (4) and a plurality of light source units (6, 8) disposed in the base part (4). Each of the plurality of light source units (6, 8) has: a light-emitting element (6b) that comprises a light-emitting diode; heaters (6d, 8d) that emit heat when power is supplied thereto; and thermostats (6e, 8e) that are provided to a power supply line leading to the heaters (6d, 8d) and alter the energized state of the heaters (6d, 8d) in accordance with the temperature.
