Abstract:
A desired projection pattern (E) is projected onto a to-be-illuminated surface (U) such as a road surface, a ground surface, a floor surface, an underwater surface, or a wall surface, and the projection pattern (E) is displaced on the to-be-illuminated surface (U). A laser beam (L1) generated by a laser light source (110) is widened by a magnifying lens (120) to generate divergent light (L2), which is formed into parallel illuminating light (L3) by a collimate lens (130) and directed onto an incident surface (Q) of a diffractive optical element (140) in which a hologram image is recorded. Diffracted light (L4) from the diffractive optical element (140) forms a projection pattern (E) as a hologram recreated image on the to-be-illuminated surface (U). The projection pattern (E) can be displaced on the to-be-illuminated surface (U) when the collimate lens (130) is moved parallel along a movement plane (P), which is orthogonal to the optical axis (C) of the laser beam (L1), by a collimate lens drive unit (150).
