Abstract:
In the present invention, an illumination tool has an electric light source, a light source driving unit for lighting the light source, and a control unit for controlling the light source driving unit. The control unit controls the light source driving unit, during the period when the light source is lit and at intervals of prescribed time, so that an optical signal where the light of the light source is the medium is transmitted with the probability of transmission being less than 50%. The prescribed time is made to be longer than the time it takes for transmitting the optical signal. The collision of optical signals is suppressed as compared to a case where the prescribed time is made to be no more than the time it takes for transmitting the optical signal, and in a case where the probability that the optical signal will be transmitted is made to be more than 50%.
