Abstract:
This image acquisition system 1 is provided with: a cassette mounting part 21 upon which are mounted cassettes 41 that are for holding glass slides G at a plurality of steps and have been given identification codes; an identification code reading unit 32 for reading an identification code from a cassette 41; an image acquisition unit 24 for acquiring image data for a sample held by a glass slide G; and a control computer 12 for associating the image data with the cassette identification information included in the identification code read by the identification code reading unit 32. The cassette mounting part 21 has a notch part 68 for exposing a bar code B given to a cassette 41 and the identification code reading unit 32 has an imaging unit 91 for imaging an identification code exposed from the notch part 68 at the reading position M2.
