Abstract:
An image analysis device provided with: a binarization process unit which, with respect to a captured image obtained by imaging a biological tissue, generates a plurality of binarized images by performing a binarization process for each of different threshold values; a frequency distribution generation unit which generates a frequency distribution of linked components representing the number of continuous figures included in the binarized images; a reference value identifying unit which, using the generated frequency distribution of the linked components, identifies, as a reference threshold value, a threshold value that serves as a reference for the frequency distribution of linked components used for analyzing information concerning prognosis; and a generation unit which, using the identified reference threshold value in the frequency distribution of the linked components, generates an analysis result for the information concerning prognosis.
