Abstract:
This image analysis device acquires cell image data representing a cell image including cell objects, identifies a plurality of partial images from the cell image, and determines whether or not each partial image of the plurality of partial images includes a cell object. The image analysis device then generates first specific data including a plurality of values, each located at a different one of a plurality of positions that correspond respectively to the plurality of partial images. These plurality of values include presence values, each located at a position corresponding to a partial image that is determined to include a cell object. The image analysis device identifies a plurality of pieces of partial data from the first specific data, counts the number of cell objects included in the cell image, using the plurality of pieces of partial data and a plurality of pieces of pattern data, and outputs the counting result. Specifically, when counting the number of cell objects in the cell image, the image analysis device determines that the number of cell objects associated with each target piece of partial data is one, even though a target piece of partial data is partial data that includes two or more presence values.
