Abstract:
The present image capture apparatus comprises an image capture unit, a first variation calculation unit, a second variation calculation unit, and a control unit. The image capture unit performs successive image captures and generates multiple frames of image the resolution of which is any one of a plurality of resolutions. The first variation calculation unit calculates first variations that are information variations of the multiple frames of image. The second variation calculation unit calculates second variations that are temporal variations of the first variations. The control unit controls the resolution of the image capture unit on the basis of the result of comparing the second variations with a threshold value.
