Abstract:
An image capture apparatus wherein distortion in an image captured by an XY-reading-type image sensor is prevented, and deterioration in the captured image resulting from leakage of light into the pixel circuit is prevented. The image capture apparatus turns on the transfer transistors of all the rows and the reset transistors of all the rows to reset the photodiodes and FDs, begins exposure to the photodiodes, turns on the transfer transistors of all the rows after a predetermined exposure time has passed to transfer the signal charges of the photodiodes of all the pixels to the FDs, thus ending exposure. Then, the image capture apparatus shuts the mechanical shutter to block leakage of light, and sequentially reads voltage, which is based on the signal charge transferred from a photodiode, from the FD for every row.
