Abstract:
In a technique for acquiring a proper image by performing an image processing of an intermediate image to which a given optical modulation has been imparted by an optical system, the present invention makes it possible to identify an image capture mode of an image capture apparatus from the data of an image captured by the image capture apparatus and/or to appropriately perform the image processing of the intermediate image. An image capture apparatus of the present invention is characterized in that the image capture apparatus comprises: an image capture optical system that includes an optical modulation element and that acquires an intermediate image optically modulated by the optical modulation element; and an image information generation unit that generates an image file including both the intermediate image and information associated with the intermediate image, wherein said information associated with the intermediate image includes: identification information for identifying an image capture mode of the image capture optical system including the optical modulation element; and image processing information related to an image processing for demodulating the optically modulated intermediate image.
