Abstract:
Provided are an image capture apparatus, an image capture method and a program that can perform image processings that can be changed in accordance with the distance of a subject. Included are: an image capture element (203) for capturing an image of a subject to generate image data of the subject; a contour detection unit (207b) for detecting the contour(s) of the subject in an image corresponding to the image data generated by the image capture element (203); and a special effect processing unit (207f) for generating processed image data, which are to be used for providing visual effects, by performing, in accordance with the perspective distribution of a plurality of contour points constituting the contour(s) of the subject detected, from the image capture element (203), by the contour detection unit (207b), image processings, which are different for the respective subject areas defined by the plurality of contour points, for areas each sandwiched by the contour(s) in the image corresponding to the image data generated by the image capture element (203).
