Abstract:

An objective of the present invention is, without requiring a complex operation by a user, to display an image of a photographic subject wherein color saturation is changed within a range wherein the color can be treated as the same color as a specified color. Image capture of a photographic subject is repeated, and color photographic subject images (C1, etc.) are obtained. Color histograms are generated from the obtained photographic subjects (C1, etc.) (steps 41, 42), and a representative color is determined from the generated color histograms. From the color histograms and the representative color, a specified color range is determined wherein the color may be treated as the same color as the representative color. Among the color photographic subject images (C1, etc.), colors outside the specified color range are treated as gray (steps 44, 45), and photographic subject images (G1, etc.) wherein non-specified colors are rendered as gray are obtained and displayed (step 46). A specified color range determination process, etc., is repeated, and when a specified color fixing instruction is received, the specified color range is fixed (steps 47, 48). When this image capture instruction is received, among the colors of the captured color photographic subject images, colors outside the fixed specified color range are rendered as gray.
