Abstract:
An extreme degree of disparity may arise between left and right images in stereo image data which is photographed as is by a stereo photography device, owing to such factors as photography conditions and the positioning of subjects within a scene. Said disparity may cause viewers discomfort or fatigue when viewing said stereo image data. Thus, provided is an image capture device, comprising: an image capture unit which generates photographic image data which includes reference image data, first disparity image data including a first disparity in one direction with respect to a subject image of the reference image data, and second disparity image data including a second disparity in another direction which is the opposite of the one direction, said reference image data, first disparity image data and second disparity image data being generated by image capturing a given scene; an adjustment condition acquisition unit which acquires an adjustment condition relating to a disparity quantity adjustment; and an image processing unit which, by processing, on the basis of the adjustment condition, the reference image data, the first disparity image data, and the second disparity image data, generates third disparity image data including a third disparity which differs from the first disparity in the one direction, and fourth disparity image data including a fourth disparity which differs from the second disparity in the other direction.
